Receptor
IFNAR1
Interferon alpha/beta receptor subunit 1: with IFNAR2 forms the type I IFN receptor complex → JAK1/TYK2 → STAT1/STAT2 + IRF9 → ISGF3 complex → ISGs (IFIT1, MX1, OAS1, ISG15).
Also called: IFN-αβ receptor, type I interferon receptor

In short
- 1What it is: a receptor in molecules and receptors.
- 2How it connects: acts on 2 and is affected by 2 concepts — mostly 2 molecule, 1 pathway, 1 therapy.
- 3Where it sits: signalling, target on the 15-step immune chain.
What it does
Anifrolumab (anti-IFNAR1): blocks ALL type I IFNs (α, β, ω) simultaneously → FDA 2021 for moderate-severe SLE (TULIP-2: BICLA 47.8% vs 31.5%); IFN-signature-high patients respond better; ISG15+ macrophage exclusive to Class III/IV LN (AI discovery explains mechanistic selectivity)
