In short
- 1What it is: a therapy in therapies and applications.
- 2How it connects: acts on 4 and is affected by 1 concepts — mostly 1 receptor, 1 pathway, 2 trial.
- 3Where it sits: therapy, trial on the 15-step immune chain.
What it does
RAVE trial (ANCA vasculitis): rituximab = standard induction; BSRBR: serious infection monitoring; secondary antibody deficiency: IgG monitoring 6-monthly with repeat dosing; biosimilars available (rituximab-abbs, -pvvr); IV infusion (slow first dose, infusion reactions); NOT equivalent to ocrelizumab for MS (ocrelizumab humanised → less immunogenic, PPMS approved)
