Molecule
TSLP
Thymic stromal lymphopoietin: epithelial cell-derived alarmin released by stressed epithelium (FLG mutation, ozone, cigarette smoke, allergens); activates ILC2 and DCs → Th2 polarisation via OX40L upregulation; acts upstream of IL-4/IL-5/IL-13 axis; also activates mast cells and basophils.
Also called: thymic stromal lymphopoietin

In short
- 1What it is: a molecule in molecules and receptors.
- 2How it connects: acts on 2 and is affected by 2 concepts — mostly 1 cell, 1 pathway, 1 tissue.
- 3Where it sits: trigger, signalling, target on the 15-step immune chain.
What it does
Tezepelumab (anti-TSLP, Tezspire): NAVIGATOR trial (N=1061), 56% exacerbation reduction across ALL asthma endotypes (including low-eosinophil, triple-negative for biologics); first asthma biologic effective across all endotypes because it blocks the broadest upstream signal
