Receptor
IL-17RA
Core receptor component for IL-17A signalling.
Also called: IL-17 receptor A, IL-17RA, interleukin-17 receptor A

In short
- 1What it is: a receptor in molecules and receptors.
- 2How it connects: acts on 1 and is affected by 1 concepts — mostly 1 molecule, 1 pathway.
- 3Where it sits: signalling, consequence, target on the 15-step immune chain.
What it does
IL-17RA+IL-17RC (forms active receptor complex for IL-17A and IL-17F) → Act1 adaptor → TRAF6 → NF-κB+MAPK → CXCL8, antimicrobial peptides, MMPs; gut barrier tight junction proteins (claudins, occludins) maintained by IL-17A signalling → worsens IBD when blocked
