Pathway
Antigen presentation via MHC-I
Peptide-MHC-I presentation to CD8 T cells.
Also called: MHC-I presentation, HLA class I presentation, antigen presentation MHC class I

In short
- 1What it is: a pathway in foundations.
- 2How it connects: acts on 2 and is affected by 1 concepts — mostly 2 cell, 1 receptor.
- 3Where it sits: recognition, response on the 15-step immune chain.
What it does
All nucleated cells; CD8+ CTL activation (8-10aa peptide); MHC-I downregulation = dominant cancer immune escape (B2M mutation, NLRC5 silencing, JAK1/2 loss) → CD8 CTL blinded; CAR-T bypasses MHC-I restriction (explains CAR-T activity where ICI fails)
