Disease
Cancer immune escape
Progressive immunoediting of tumour cells under immune selection pressure: Elimination (most transformed cells killed by NK/CTL) → Equilibrium (tumour cells survive under continuous immune pressure, selected for immune resistance) → Escape (clinical cancer: MHC-I loss, PD-L1 upregulation, Treg accumulation, cold tumour, antigen loss).
Also called: tumour immune evasion, cancer immunoediting, immune escape

In short
- 1What it is: a disease in diseases and immunopathology.
- 2How it connects: acts on 1 and is affected by 2 concepts — mostly 1 cell, 1 receptor, 1 tissue.
- 3Where it sits: failure, disease on the 15-step immune chain.
What it does
WNT/β-catenin activation (25-35% melanoma) → cold tumour → anti-PD-1 non-response; SLC6A4 on NK cells suppresses anti-tumour cytotoxicity (AI multi-omics → fluoxetine+pembrolizumab Phase 2 NSCLC 2024)
